This free course supports child and youth mental health and addictions (CYMHA) professionals to utilize Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) with youth who have substance use concerns. The course provides a brief overview of CBT and focuses on CBT concepts and approaches that can be adapted for youth with substance use behaviours. This training is knowledge-based and not intended to develop CBT skills. Providers who are interested in skill-based CBT training should begin by completing a CBT foundation course.

How to Register:

This course is hosted on Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario’s learning management platform, YWHO Learn. New users will be prompted to create an account on the platform before they can enroll in the course. Follow these steps to register:

  1. Click registration link below
  2. Login into or register new account on YWHO Learn
  3. Click ‘Browse Catalogue’ in menu bar at top
  4. Select desired course to open screen and click register
  5. Once enrolled you can select “Launch” to begin course
