Kenora Youth Wellness Hub

Welcome to the Kenora Youth Wellness Hub!

We are a welcoming and youth-friendly space for integrated youth services for young people aged 12 to 25 and their families looking for mental health and addictions support across Kenora. The Hub brings together existing community partners who are committed to working in a new collaborative and innovative way. The goal is to provide youth with the right services in the right place at the right time.

The Kenora Youth Wellness Hubs’s lead agency is the Indigenous-led Kenora Chiefs Advisory, which provides a bi-cultural model of healing and local values.

Get to know the Kenora hub

Your Kenora team is here to help you get the care you need. Drop-in to chat with a Peer Support Worker, have a snack, hang out, play games, use the computer, do some arts and crafts, and more. If you don’t see what you’re interested in, ask the team!

The team can connect you to services including mental health, substance use, employment, education, sexual health, and primary care. The team is also available to help you with housing support, food programs, and find other activities going on in the Kenora community.

We utilize land-based programming for recreation, cultural learning, and counselling. This focus on land encourages youth who are living in the urban center to become more connected to nature and relieves some of the pressure that comes with working in typically clinical spaces.

The semi-isolated nature of Kenora has made us flexible in terms of meeting the immediate needs of youth accessing the space, our team has done grocery runs, helped youth with laundry, and supported with a variety of basic needs. All in all the Kenora site prioritizes relationships with youth so that we are able to connect them with services, supports, and one another.

Unsure what service you’re in need of? That’s okay, we’re here to talk through it with you.
